M/M or M/S Special Education Credential Position Summary We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our educational team in supporting students with diverse learning needs, including developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, hearing impairments, visual impairments, and other disabilities. The teacher will provide individualized instruction based on students' IEP goals, accommodations, and learning needs while fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment. This role involves close collaboration with general education teachers, parents, related-service providers, and other specialists to help students achieve their academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and developmental goals. Key Responsibilities Design and implement individualized instruction aligned with students' IEP goals, accommodations, and modifications. Develop engaging lesson plans across core academic and functional areas, including literacy, mathematics, social skills, and life skills. Use evidence-based instructional strategies and educational technology to support student engagement and learning. Monitor student progress through assessments, data collection, and progress monitoring, and adjust instruction as needed. Implement positive behavior-support strategies and maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment. Collaborate with general education teachers, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, counselors, and other specialists to provide comprehensive student support. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, needs, challenges, and achievements. Maintain accurate IEP documentation, progress reports, behavioral data, and other required records in compliance with applicable special education requirements. Support students' social-emotional development and independence through appropriate social-skills and behavioral interventions. Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development and implementation of individualized educational plans. Coordinate with related-service providers to support students' communication, behavioral, and developmental needs. Qualifications Valid California Special Education Teaching Credential , preferably in Mild/Moderate (M/M) or Mild/Severe (M/S) . Experience working with students with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, hearing impairments, visual impairments, or other disabilities. Strong knowledge of IEP development, instructional accommodations, modifications, and special education practices. Familiarity with applicable special education laws and compliance requirements. Strong classroom management and positive behavior-support skills. Ability to adapt instructional methods to meet the needs of diverse learners. Proficiency with educational technology and digital learning tools. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and families is preferred. Knowledge of behavioral-support strategies, including ABA principles, is a plus. Why Join Us? Pay:

$65.00 - $75.00 per hour Expected hours: 35.0 - 40.0 per week
