California Mild/Moderate or Moderate/Severe Special Education Credential Job Overview ANZ Learning Solutions is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to support students with diverse learning needs in an elementary and middle school setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of special education practices and a commitment to creating an inclusive, supportive, and engaging learning environment. The teacher will be responsible for implementing IEPs, adapting instruction, monitoring student progress, and collaborating with families and multidisciplinary teams. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) . Provide individualized instruction based on students' abilities, needs, and IEP goals. Adapt and modify curriculum, assignments, and instructional strategies. Implement effective classroom and behavior-management strategies. Monitor and document students' academic, behavioral, and social-emotional progress. Conduct and assist with student assessments and use results to guide instruction. Collaborate with general education teachers, SLPs, counselors, therapists, families, and other professionals. Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and multidisciplinary team meetings. Maintain accurate student records, progress reports, and required documentation. Use educational technology and evidence-based instructional strategies to support student learning. Help students develop academic, communication, social, and independent-living skills. Qualifications Valid California Mild/Moderate or Moderate/Severe Special Education Credential required. Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field. Previous experience working with students with disabilities preferred. Experience with autism, developmental disabilities, or other diverse learning needs is a plus. Strong knowledge of IEPs, accommodations, modifications, and special education requirements. Excellent communication, classroom-management, and organizational skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, teachers, and related-service providers.
