Weekend Mommy & Me Instructor Locations:
South San Francisco & Berkeley, CA Are you passionate about early childhood development and creating meaningful experiences for young children and their caregivers? We're looking for warm, energetic, and engaging Mommy & Me Instructors to lead weekend classes as part of our Building Excellence Program . We currently have teaching opportunities available at: Building Kidz of South San Francisco - Grand Avenue Building Kidz of Berkeley Candidates may be considered for one or both locations , depending on availability and interest. We hope to offer classes on either Saturdays or Sundays for young children attending alongside a parent or caregiver. These classes will focus on bonding, movement, music, sensory exploration, and creative play , providing families with a fun and supportive opportunity to learn and connect together. What You'll Be Teaching Our Mommy & Me classes are designed to encourage parent-child bonding while supporting early childhood development through guided activities such as: Music, singing, and rhythm activities Creative movement and beginner dance Parent-and-child movement and bonding exercises Sensory and imaginative play Gross and fine motor skill development Simple games, stories, and interactive activities Socialization with other children and caregivers We welcome the instructor's creativity! Classes should provide enough structure to create a meaningful developmental experience while remaining playful, flexible, and accessible for young children. Responsibilities Lead engaging parent-and-child classes in a welcoming and supportive environment Guide parents and caregivers through activities they can participate in alongside their child Develop age-appropriate lesson plans incorporating music, movement, and creative play Encourage positive interaction and bonding between children and caregivers Adapt activities to accommodate different developmental stages and comfort levels Maintain an organized, safe, and engaging classroom environment Collaborate with the Program Director to ensure alignment with program goals Requirements Experience working with infants, toddlers, preschool-aged children, and/or families Background in early childhood education, music, dance, creative movement, child development, or a related field preferred Comfortable leading groups of both young children and adults Warm, energetic, and engaging teaching style Strong communication and group-management skills Knowledge of developmentally appropriate activities for young children Reliable transportation to the applicable teaching location Must pass background/fingerprint check, TB test, and physical exam Available to teach on weekends (Saturday and/or Sunday) Compensation $45-$60 per hour , depending on experience, education, and level of expertise.
