Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students in need of specialized assistance. This role calls for an experienced paraprofessional to provide dedicated 1:1 support in a Special Education classroom setting, located conveniently near the Sacramento and Rio Vista area. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8am-3pm, with an expected start date of Tuesday, 8/25. Candidates must be fully onboarded and able to start within three business days of signing the contract.

Key Qualifications:

Demonstrated expertise as a paraprofessional, specifically within Special Education classroom environments Ability to engage with and support students one-on-one, fostering academic and personal growth Familiarity with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and best practices for SPED support Currently fully onboarded and ready for immediate placement (onboarding completed in Bullhorn is required) Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all situations

Position Responsibilities:

Provide individualized academic and behavioral assistance to assigned students Implement teacher- and therapist-directed activities, reinforcing lessons and objectives Support positive student engagement, inclusion, and participation in class activities Assist with personal care needs as applicable, maintaining a safe and supportive environment Communicate regularly and effectively with classroom teachers, therapists, and school staff Maintain accurate records and documentation as needed This contract role places you in a caring environment, where your SPED expertise can make a genuine difference.
