    35 hours per week

    Pay:

    Up to

    • $75.00/hour
    • Client interview required via Google Meet
    • Responsibilities:
    • Provide instruction to deaf and hard-of-hearing students in academic subjects using general or adapted curriculum
    • Utilize American Sign Language (ASL) and appropriate amplification devices as needed
    • Develop and implement individualized instructional strategies
    • Collaborate with school staff, families, and support teams to promote student success
    • Maintain compliance with educational and professional standards
    • Minimum Requirements:
    • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university preferred
    • Valid California teaching certification/licensure as required
    • Knowledge of Sign Language and amplification devices for the deaf and hard-of-hearing
    • Experience working with deaf and hard-of-hearing students preferred
    • ASL proficiency exam or certification may be required
    • Current CPR, health requirements, and TB clearance if applicable
    • Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
    • Must be at least 18 years of age

    • . The Teacher for the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing teaches deaf and hard-of-hearing pupils in a classroom setting. Instructs in academic subjects of regular curriculum or adapted curriculum to meet needs of student population.
