Qualifications & Experience:

Valid certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing or related field Previous experience with Deaf/Hard of Hearing students in a school setting is highly preferred Familiarity with cochlear implant technology, accommodations, and assistive devices Ability to develop and adapt instructional materials to suit varying levels of need Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams, including speech-language pathologists, general education teachers, and families Ability and willingness to travel between educational sites within the county

Responsibilities:

Provide direct instruction to approximately 30 students with hearing impairments across multiple schools throughout the county Assess, plan, and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) Support students both in mainstream classrooms and through pull-out services as appropriate Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success Monitor student progress and provide regular updates to IEP teams Offer insight on assistive technology, accommodations, and language development strategies for students with hearing loss This position offers a 35-hour work week with the rewarding challenge of supporting a diverse caseload while connecting with multiple school communities.
