Yuba City, CA :
Full time•37.5 hours/week Contract for the entire 26/27 school year•36 weeks.
Hourly:
$60•$68 Weekly $2,250•$2,550 Special Education Teacher / SPED Teacher Overview Responsible for modifying curriculum, designing supports and reporting on progress for each student on their caseload with an IEP. Administers academic testing for Tri-annuals directly to students and joins all IEP meetings, reports data on goals, and writes new goals. Maintain regular contact with parents, providing updates on progress and collaborating on strategies to support learning at home. Create a well-organized, safe, and positive learning environment. Implement strategies to manage behavior and ensure a productive classroom atmosphere. Provide individualized and group instruction, utilizing specialized techniques for students with diverse needs. Assess and track student progress, adjusting instruction as needed. Special Education Teacher Requirements Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field; Master's degree preferred. Must hold a valid Mild/Mod or Mod/Sev credential with experience in Primary or Secondary Education Experience working with individuals with disabilities, particularly those with autism and developmental disabilities. Strong skills in behavior management and individualized instruction techniques. Proficiency in proofreading educational materials for clarity and accuracy. Familiarity with IEP development processes and standardized testing protocols. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups.
