Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a direct impact in the lives of students by supporting those with special needs in an engaging and collaborative elementary school environment. This contract position requires a Special Education Teacher with experience or credentials suitable for addressing mild to moderate caseloads for the upcoming academic year. You'll work onsite, joining a dedicated team committed to student growth and inclusion. The schedule offers a desirable work-life balance with a four-day workweek.

Qualifications:

Active CDE Special Education (SPED) licensure Prior experience with school-based special education services, particularly at the elementary level Skilled in working with mild/moderate disabilities Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and colleagues

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct instruction, support, and case management for K-5 students with mild/moderate disabilities Develop, adapt, and deliver differentiated lesson plans tailored to individual student needs and IEP goals Conduct and participate in IEP meetings and maintain accurate documentation Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
