Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Discover an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a supportive, close-knit school district in the northern suburbs of Denver. With a community of approximately 7,000 students across 16 sites, this district offers an inviting atmosphere that warmly welcomes both new graduates and seasoned professionals. Travel professionals will appreciate the district's openness and flexibility regarding relocation timelines and credentialing status. Current openings are available for two Special Education teaching roles for the 2026-2027 school year: Special Education Generalist/Resource Teacher (Mild-Moderate, K-8, 30-40 students) Inclusive Learning Community (ILC) Center-Based Classroom Teacher (Moderate-Severe, K-3, 10 students, developmental delay focus) Both positions are full-time (37.5 hours/week), on site, beginning July 29th, 2026 and concluding May 28th, 2027.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Active or in-process Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Education License (check status here: ) Open to both career starters and experienced educators Strong commitment to inclusive, student-centered practices CPI training is a plus; district will provide training if not already certified
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement tailored instructional plans for students with varying needs (Mild-Moderate or Moderate-Severe) Manage a dedicated caseload, supporting IEP development and delivery Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, families, and staff Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment
