Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a meaningful role supporting students' growth and learning in a welcoming elementary school environment. This contract opportunity runs from August 2026 through early June 2027 and focuses on providing quality special education services to a mild/moderate caseload. You'll enjoy a four-day workweek, giving you Mondays off and ensuring valuable work-life balance.

Key Qualifications:

Valid CDE Special Education Teacher licensure required Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred Background in managing mild to moderate special education caseloads Strong collaboration and communication abilities Commitment to fostering inclusive classroom environments Ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet diverse needs

Core Responsibilities:

Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students Deliver effective instruction and interventions tailored to each learner Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families Collect, monitor, and report student progress and growth Facilitate positive behavioral supports within the classroom Maintain compliance with district and state requirements Engage in ongoing professional development as required
