Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into an inspiring role serving students with special needs in the North Denver area for the 2026-2027 academic year. Schools in Broomfield, Northglenn, and Thornton are seeking exceptional Special Education professionals for various full-time positions, including center-based Affective Needs and Structured Learning Services roles, a Learning Specialist placement, and a full-time Significant Support Needs (SSN) position at the high school level. All positions are onsite and part of dynamic teams focused on student success. Ideal candidates bring compassion, expertise in designing individualized education plans, and the commitment to empower students to achieve their fullest potential. You'll make a difference supporting elementary through high school-aged learners, shaping educational outcomes and fostering inclusive classroom environments.
Qualifications:
Active Colorado Department of Education Special Education Certification Experience teaching in a Special Education classroom or center-based program Strong knowledge of IEP development and progress monitoring Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and administrators Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Flexibility and willingness to adapt to program needs across different campuses
Primary Responsibilities:
Design and implement evidence-based instruction tailored to individual needs Manage caseloads appropriate to each assignment (elementary/middle/high school) Develop and monitor IEPs in accordance with state and federal guidelines Collaborate with general educators and specialists to promote student integration Contribute to behavioral intervention planning and classroom management Engage families and caregivers in the educational process You'll have the opportunity to complete a brief prescreening interview, with flexible scheduling between 9-11 a.m. and 2-3 p.m. EST, to ensure the best fit for these important roles.
