A Special Education Teacher teaches students who have disabilities, and adapts teaching methods to meet the needs of students. Assesses students and helps to develop individualized education plans that specify the services and accommodations needed for each student. Works in a classroom that includes only students with IEPs, or works with students and teachers in regular classes. For students with severe disabilities, may focus on developing skills for independent living. Works as part of a team that includes therapists, school counselors or social workers.

Resource Teacher - Middle School Support students in a middle school resource setting while collaborating with general education staff and special education teams. Candidates must be flexible team players and have at least one year of classroom experience. Multi-Intensive Teacher - Middle School Lead a Middle School Intensive Learning Center (ILC) classroom serving approximately 10 students. This classroom is supported by two full-time paraprofessionals, a BCBA, SLP, OT/PT, and Psychologist/Social Worker. Candidates should be comfortable working within a highly collaborative multidisciplinary team environment. Minimum Requirements License:
Valid state Special Education teaching certification; CDE license required or in process
Education:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university preferred
