Affective Needs Full Time, 1.0 FTE Starting ASAP for the 2026 School Year About the Role Hello, Special Education Teachers ! Ampersand Therapy is hiring an Affective Needs Special Education Teacher in Carbondale, CO. You'll provide individualized instruction and meaningful behavioral and social-emotional support while helping students build confidence and skills for success. This is a great opportunity for a Special Education Teacher passionate about supporting students with affective, behavioral, and emotional needs. • + 401(k) with company match Reimbursement for licensure and professional development + referral bonuses What You'll Do Develop and implement IEPs tailored to student needs Provide specialized instruction across academic subjects Manage classroom behavior and create a structured, supportive environment Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families Monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly Write progress reports and maintain compliant documentation Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies for diverse learning needs Incorporate technology and resources to enhance learning What We're Looking For Valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) teaching license with Special Education endorsement Fingerprinting through OSPI Strong classroom management and collaboration skills School-based experience preferred, not required About Ampersand Therapy Ampersand Therapy is a women- and therapist-operated company built by providers who understand school-based work.
