Job Description

Embark on a rewarding opportunity to make an impact as a Special Education Teacher supporting middle school students with significant support needs. In this contract position, you will provide dedicated instruction and interventions for students in grades 68, guiding a small caseload of five learners. The assignment offers a balanced weekly schedule and the chance to contribute meaningfully within a collaborative school environment.
Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized and group instruction tailored to each students IEP goals and adaptive requirements Collaborate with general education teachers, paraeducators, and school specialists to develop effective programming and promote inclusion Develop, implement, and assess IEPs for a caseload of five students, maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations Foster a structured, supportive classroom atmosphere that nurtures social, behavioral, and academic growth Partner with families to support student progress and communicate strategies for success Track and document student development, providing data-driven updates and recommendations during meetings
Desired Qualifications:
Valid license as a Special Education Teacher (please provide proof of certification with your application) Experience working with middle school students and/or individuals with significant support needs preferred Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team Familiarity with IEP processes, behavior intervention strategies, and progress monitoring Commitment to advocating for students diverse needs and implementing evidence-based practices
Details:
Contract position starting immediately, anticipated through the end of May Full-time, Monday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:403:50; Wednesday from 9:403:50, approximately 40 hours per week Small, focused caseload in a supportive setting Step into a role where you can directly influence students learning and growth in a meaningful way.
