Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a difference every day by providing vital support and instruction to students of varying abilities. Multiple full-time contract opportunities are available for experienced Special Education Teachers with valid CDE licensure in Colorado. Openings span elementary, middle, and high school settings, allowing you to work with a caseload that matches your expertise and passion—whether in SSN/Autism center programs, AN center programs, or alternative education environments.
Key Qualifications:
Current and active Colorado Department of Education (CDE) teaching license for Special Education (required) Experience working with elementary, middle, or high school-aged students Background in resource, mild/moderate, and/or significant needs (SSN/Aut) classrooms Deep knowledge of IEP development and implementation Strong classroom management and collaborative skills Adaptable, with the ability to communicate clearly with students, staff, and families In this role, you will: Develop and implement differentiated instructional plans tailored to individual student needs Write, update, and track Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and related goals Foster a supportive classroom environment that encourages learning and growth Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, families, and administrators Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly Advocate for students and connect them with appropriate resources Openings are available in: Elementary SSN/Aut Center Program (K-4) Elementary AN Center Program (K-4) Middle School SSN/Aut Center Program (5-8) Middle School SPED (mild/moderate, SSN/Aut) Alternative High School SPED (mild/moderate) If you're passionate about transformative education and committed to supporting diverse learners, take the next step in your career and apply today.
