Epic Special Education Staffing is seeking a Teacher Certified in Visual Impairment for the school year. In this role, you will provide specialized instruction to students with visual impairments, supporting access, independence, and academic success across school settings. You will develop and implement IEPs, teach Braille and assistive technology use, adapt curriculum and materials, and collaborate closely with general and special educators, related service providers, and families. Responsibilities Provide direct instruction to students with visual impairments in individual and small-group settings Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs aligned with student needs and district/state standards Teach Braille, assistive technology, and compensatory skills to support access to curriculum Collaborate with general and special education teachers to adapt materials and classroom environments Conduct assessments of functional vision and learning media in collaboration with school teams Communicate regularly with families, school staff, and related service providers to support student progress Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and compliance with IDEA and district requirements Participate in IEP meetings, team conferences, and professional development activities Support orientation and mobility goals in coordination with certified O&M specialists Required Skills Special education instruction Teaching students with visual impairments IEP development and implementation Braille literacy instruction Assistive technology for visual impairment Orientation and mobility collaboration Progress monitoring and data collection Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams Family and caregiver communication Classroom and materials adaptation
