Job Description

Make an immediate impact as a Special Education Teacher supporting elementary learners with significant needs in a vibrant educational environment. This onsite, contract role runs from August 20th, 2026, through June 3rd, 2027, offering a consistent, four-day workweekTuesday through Friday, 7:30am-4:30pmgiving you every Monday off to recharge. As the skilled professional guiding students with Significant Support Needs, youll be instrumental in developing, adapting, and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and engaging collaboratively with dedicated school staff and families. Youll become an integral part of a supportive team that values specialized instruction, advocacy for students, and creative problem-solving.
Key Qualifications:
Valid CDE Special Education (SPED) teaching licensure Experience or strong interest in working with elementary-aged students requiring significant support Ability to create tailored learning strategies that address academic, social, and behavioral needs Effective communication and collaboration skills Passion for fostering inclusive learning environments and student growth Commitment to onsite work for the full contract period
Primary Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and review IEPs for students with significant support needs Provide individualized and small group instruction in an elementary setting Collaborate closely with general education teachers, therapists, families, and support staff Monitor progress, document data, and adjust strategies as needed Advocate for each student while maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations Contribute positively to the schools inclusive, team-oriented culture Step into a role that truly matterssupport your students emotional, academic, and social development in a structure that supports your work-life balance.
