Job Description
Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding position supporting elementary students with special needs in a vibrant and collaborative school environment. This full-time opportunity runs from August 5, 2026, through May 21, 2027, and offers the chance to work closely with a small caseload of 6-8 students. You'll make a meaningful impact every day while working as an essential member of a dedicated school team.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Valid Special Education Teacher certification Previous experience working with elementary-aged students preferred Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Ability to adapt instruction to meet varied learning needs Passion for fostering growth and confidence in children with diverse abilitiesKey Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized instruction and support to students on your caseload, ensuring accommodations and modifications align with each IEP Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and parents to create a welcoming and inclusive classroom Maintain accurate student records, monitor progress, and update documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines Provide ongoing encouragement, structure, and behavior management Participate in staff meetings, parent conferences, and professional developmentWhat Sets This Role Apart:
