Key Qualifications:

Valid and active (or pending) Colorado Department of Education license; only candidates with proper licensure will be considered Demonstrated experience managing elementary classrooms and supporting students with autism Extensive knowledge of best practices in special education, including IEP development and implementation Exceptional communication skills for collaborating with students, families, and staff Adaptability, reliability, and commitment to fostering inclusive learning experiences

Primary Responsibilities:

Deliver tailored instruction and support to students with a range of needs in a resource classroom setting Develop, document, and implement effective IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams Utilize evidence-based interventions to support student behavior, learning, and social-emotional development Maintain accurate and timely records of student progress, interventions, and communications Engage in effective classroom management and create a positive, structured environment conducive to learning Work collaboratively with staff and families to ensure continuity of care and support for each student This assignment starts as soon as possible and extends through November 2026, with a 40-hour work week (37.5 paid hours, 2.5 hours designated for lunch).
