Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a lasting impact by supporting students as a contract Special Education Teacher for an elementary school serving the Longmont, CO area. This full-time opportunity runs from late August through early June, offering structured hours in a welcoming school environment. The role focuses on serving a mild to moderate caseload and partnering with dedicated teams committed to student success.

Key Qualifications:

Current and valid CDE Special Education (SPED) licensure Experience teaching or supporting students with mild to moderate learning needs Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills Ability to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and implement differentiated instruction Commitment to fostering an inclusive, positive classroom environment

Primary Responsibilities:

Deliver direct instruction and support to elementary students receiving special education services Design and implement individualized lesson plans based on students' unique needs Collaborate with classroom teachers, related service providers, and families Monitor student progress, document outcomes, and adjust strategies as needed Participate in IEP meetings, maintain compliance with district and state guidelines Contribute to a positive school culture and uphold professional ethics
