Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Special Education Teacher and make a meaningful impact on elementary students with significant support needs. This onsite position runs from August 20, 2026, through June 3, 2027, and is located within a supportive school setting near Longmont, CO. Work closely with a collaborative team to provide specialized instruction and support in a vibrant elementary classroom.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Education (SPED) licensure is required Previous experience working with students with significant support needs (SSN) preferred Demonstrated ability to adapt curriculum and instructional approaches to meet diverse learning requirements Strong communication and collaboration skills to partner effectively with families, staff, and service providers Commitment to fostering an inclusive, student-centered classroom environment
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each students unique strengths and challenges Modify general education curriculum and provide targeted interventions based on student needs Maintain accurate records and track student progress in compliance with federal and state guidelines Collaborate with general education staff and support personnel to ensure an integrative approach to student success Attend IEP meetings, staff development sessions, and engage in regular communication with families Contribute to a positive and supportive school culture, advocating for students with disabilities This contract role offers consistent hoursTuesday through Friday from 7:30am to 4:30pm, allowing for long weekends and work-life balance.
