Job Description

Make a difference every day by supporting students as a Special Education Teacher in a welcoming and collaborative school environment. This contract opportunity runs from mid-August through early June and offers positions working with either middle or high school students with mild to moderate needs. With manageable caseloads and onsite-only assignments, you'll engage with learners and colleagues while making a genuine impact.

Desired Qualifications:

Valid Colorado Teaching License Special Education (SPED) Endorsement Experience or comfort teaching students with mild or moderate behavioral needs Willingness to assist with toileting support if required Strong collaboration and communication skills Dedication to fostering an inclusive, positive learning atmosphere

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct instruction and individualized support to a caseload of approximately 25-30 students Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs Collaborate closely with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to ensure integrated support Monitor student progress, collect relevant data, and adjust instructional methods as needed Create a safe, supportive classroom environment that encourages growth and participation Participate in IEP meetings and consult on appropriate accommodations and modifications Provide behavioral support and positive reinforcement strategies
