Center-Based Classroom, 2nd-5th Grade Full-Time, 1.0 FTE In Person Starting August 2026 for the entire school year About the Role Ampersand Therapy is hiring a Special Education Teacher to support students in an elementary Autism Program in Thornton, CO. This position will provide specialized instruction in a center-based classroom serving students in 2nd-5th grade. You'll develop and implement individualized instruction, support IEP goals, and create a structured, supportive learning environment where students can thrive. You'll work alongside a collaborative school team with support from a therapist-run company that understands the unique needs of school-based professionals. • + 401(k) with company match Reimbursement for licensure and professional development + referral bonuses What You'll Do Develop and implement IEPs tailored to individual student needs Provide specialized instruction in a center-based elementary classroom Support students with autism across academic, behavioral, and functional goals Manage classroom behavior and maintain a structured, supportive environment Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, specialists, and families Monitor student progress and adjust instruction based on student needs Write progress reports and maintain accurate, compliant documentation Adapt curriculum, materials, and teaching strategies to support diverse learning needs Incorporate appropriate technology and instructional resources to enhance learning What We're Looking For Valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) teaching license with a Special Education endorsement Experience working with students with autism and/or in a center-based setting preferred Strong classroom management and collaboration skills School-based experience preferred, but not required About Ampersand Therapy Ampersand Therapy is a therapist-owned and operated company built by providers who understand school-based work.
