Category Schools - Visually Impaired Teacher Job Type Contract Support students in their educational journey as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) for a contract position near Woodland Park, CO. This rewarding opportunity offers part-time work supporting a diverse group of eight students across kindergarten through 12th grade for the upcoming school year. You'll be working 15-20 hours weekly, from August 11 through May 20, making a meaningful impact within a flexible schedule.

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

Valid certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) Experience working with students who have a range of visual impairments Familiarity with instructional strategies and adaptive devices for visually impaired learners Strong collaboration skills for working alongside general education staff, families, and related service providers Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Confidence serving students in both one-on-one and small group settings

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct instructional support to visually impaired students in grades K-12 Adapt and modify curriculum materials to ensure accessibility and engagement Collaborate in developing, implementing, and monitoring IEP goals Serve as a resource to faculty, staff, and families regarding best practices and accessibility tools Recommend assistive technology and adaptive equipment, offering training as needed Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports for each student's programming This contract position allows you to work closely with a small, well-supported caseload while enjoying a structured school-year schedule.
