Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Valid teaching license with Special Education endorsement (or eligibility to obtain) Experience working with high school students in special education settings preferred Strong communication and collaboration abilities Creative approach to individualized instruction and classroom management Adaptable mindset and problem-solving skills Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment Ability to adapt lesson plans and strategies to meet unique student needs
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver specialized instruction to high school students based on IEPs and individual learning goals Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to a range of abilities, ensuring accessibility for all students Collect and monitor student progress, updating IEPs as required Collaborate closely with general education teachers, counselors, and support staff Communicate regularly with families, sharing progress and working together to address challenges Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions Maintain required documentation and compliance in accordance with school policies and regulations Foster a classroom atmosphere in which every student feels valued and encouraged to reach their full potential Bring your dedication and expertise to a high school special education classroom where every day is an opportunity to inspire growth.
