- Special Education Teacher
- to join a supportive school team in Avon, CT for the 2026-2027 school year. The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting students with diverse learning needs and providing individualized, high-quality instruction. ### Responsibilities
- Provide specialized instruction to students with disabilities
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
- Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
- Adapt instruction and materials to meet individual student needs ### Qualifications
- Connecticut Special Education teaching certification or appropriate endorsement
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field
- Previous school-based special education experience preferred
