9685766-06606 Job Description Step into a rewarding role as a Special Education Teacher supporting Pre-K and Kindergarten students in a nurturing, collaborative school setting near Bridgeport, CT. This onsite, full-time contract opportunity runs through late Februarywith the potential to extendoffering you a chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners. Youll work closely with a small class of approximately seven students, each supported by a dedicated 1-on-1 aide, allowing for focused and individualized instruction. A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is onsite to provide additional expertise and support, ensuring a robust, team-oriented environment.
Key Qualifications:
Valid teaching certification in Special Education Experience with early childhood (Pre-K and Kindergarten) strongly preferred Proven ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Strong communication skills with students, families, and team members Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic school setting Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom experience
Responsibilities:
Design and deliver effective instruction tailored to each students unique needs Collaborate with paraprofessionals, therapists, and the BCBA to maximize student growth Monitor and record progress on IEP goals, maintaining accurate documentation Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers about student progress Foster a positive, safe learning environment to encourage student development Participate in staff meetings and ongoing professional learning Enjoy the benefits of medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as 401(k) options.
