As an Educational Support Counselor , you'll work alongside teachers, therapists, and other professionals to help students with autism and intellectual and developmental disabilities participate in school, build skills, develop independence, and experience success. WHAT YOU'LL DO
As an Educational Support Counselor, you will help create a supportive environment where students can learn, participate, and develop their skills.
Your day may include:
Supporting classroom instruction and assisting teachers with educational activities Providing individualized guidance, encouragement, and one-on-one support Helping students participate in academic, social, recreational, and school-based activities Reinforcing classroom expectations and positive behaviors Supporting students in developing independence and functional skills Assisting with student supervision throughout the school day Helping maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive learning environment Supporting students during community-based activities and educational outings Following individualized educational, behavioral, and support plans Observing student progress and communicating important information to the educational team Collaborating with teachers, therapists, behavior professionals, and other staff to meet student needs Participating in staff meetings, trainings, professional development, and other school activities Serving as a positive role model and advocate for students

Pay:
$21.00 - $21.50 per hour
