ECDC is a NAEYC-accredited early childhood program committed to providing high-quality care and education in a supportive, engaging environment. The Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment where children can learn, grow, and build positive relationships. Key Responsibilities Plan and implement developmentally appropriate learning experiences based on the needs and interests of the children. Create a positive, welcoming classroom environment that supports children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Use positive guidance and classroom management strategies to support appropriate behavior and social-emotional growth. Observe and document children's development and progress using CT DOTS and other program assessment tools. Maintain consistent classroom routines, supervision, and adherence to health and safety requirements. Build positive, professional relationships with children and families. Collaborate with teachers, support staff, administrators, and community partners to meet the individual needs of children. Participate as an active member of the ECDC team and support the Center's commitment to high-quality early childhood education. Qualifications Experience working with young children in an early childhood, preschool, or licensed childcare setting. Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices. Strong communication, teamwork, and classroom management skills. Ability to work effectively with children with a variety of developmental, behavioral, and learning needs. Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, or a related field preferred. Commitment to providing a safe, respectful, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all children.
Pay:
From $46,000.00 per year
