Job description This is a paid (with benefits) teacher resident position leading to teacher certification in the state of Connecticut in Elementary Education (PK

Coursework and textbooks are provided at no cost to teacher residents.
This program requires residents to:
serve in a resident position full-time under the guidance of a mentor teacher for the academic school year in a public school classroom in a partner district. complete 14 to 18 months of coursework running 6 weeks in person each summer and 2 evenings in a hybrid format during the school year. attend district and school-based professional development sessions. pass assessments for Connecticut state certification for the relevant certificate. commit to a classroom teaching position upon successful completion of the program and certification (August 2028); this earns first year teacher salary for the district, which varies by district and is publicly posted. Applicants must have a Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited college or university (or a course by course international evaluation documenting the US equivalent of this) prior to beginning no cost coursework in June 2027. In order to complete your application for any of the certification pathways, you will need the following items: 1. Unofficial transcripts for all college coursework documenting the completion of a Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited college or university 2. International coursework will require a course by course international evaluation documenting the completion of an undergraduate degree. The evaluation will need to be from a CSDE approved evaluation company. 1.
