Job Description

Step into a meaningful contract opportunity supporting high school students as a Special Education Teacher in the West Hartford, CT area. This position is designed for professionals with a strong background in special education and a commitment to making a difference in the lives of students. Candidates must hold active CT Special Education Teacher Licensure and be ready to work in both high school and resource classroom settings.
Qualifications & Credentials:
Current CT Special Education Teacher Licensure required Experience working with high school students with diverse learning needs Strong organizational skills to manage caseload and documentation Ability to collaborate effectively with general education teachers, support staff, and families Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized and group instruction based on student IEPs Adapt curriculum materials to meet varying learning styles and needs Provide case management for a designated number of students Conduct progress monitoring and maintain accurate records Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development Serve as a resource to general education colleagues and families regarding student accommodations and modifications As a valuable member of the school community, youll enjoy a supportive and collaborative environment focused on student success.
