This full-time contract position begins as soon as possible and extends through October 1, 2026, with strong potential to continue through the entire school year. As a Special Education professional in this role, you will collaborate within a nurturing and supportive community, guiding a caseload of approximately 10 students. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 2:30 PM, providing a stable weekday routine for both you and your students. Qualifications:
Must hold an active Connecticut Special Education certification for Grades 712 Previous experience in school-based settings is preferred Ability to foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment Excellent communication and collaboration skills Strong commitment to helping students reach their academic and social goals
Key Responsibilities:
Provide individualized and small group instruction in a resource room setting for students in grades 712 Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with colleagues and families Assist students in academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth Collaborate with general education staff and other support professionals for holistic student support Maintain detailed records and progress reports in accordance with state and federal regulations Youll find a welcoming school team, eager students, and ongoing support to help you succeed in this pivotal role.
