Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary students as a Special Education Teacher. This position focuses on resource and push-in settings for Kindergarten through 5th grade, providing tailored instruction and case management to help students achieve their potential. The assignment offers a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week and runs through June 10, 2027, with an immediate start.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver direct instruction to students in resource or push-in classroom environments Develop, implement, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Manage caseloads, coordinate meetings, and maintain documentation in compliance with state and federal standards Collaborate actively with general education teachers, families, and support staff Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet diverse student needs Foster a nurturing, inclusive learning environment to support student growth and engagement

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Current Connecticut Special Education Teacher certification (165 or 265 required) Applications from DSAP-certified candidates may be considered Experience working with elementary-aged students (K-5) in special education settings Strong background in IEP development and case management Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Commitment to supporting diverse learners and advocating for their success This contract role features a competitive hourly pay range of $39-$53, aligned with your experience and qualifications.
