Qualifications:
An active Special Education Licensure valid in Connecticut. Experience with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Discrete Trial Instruction (DTI). A passion for working with middle school-aged students, particularly those on the autism spectrum. Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student on your caseload. Utilize ABA and DTI strategies to promote positive behavioral and academic outcomes. Work closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student growth and success. Assess student progress and modify instructional approaches as necessary. Cultivate a supportive classroom climate that encourages student participation and engagement. Maintain accurate, timely documentation and compliance according to district policies.
Position Details:
Full-time schedule, 5 days per week. Immediate start, with a contract lasting through June 8, 2027. Focused on middle school-aged students in a collaborative school culture.
