POSITION
Secondary Special Education Teacher Key Responsibilities Provide specialized instruction to students with disabilities in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Deliver evidence-based Structured Literacy instruction to students with identified reading and language-based learning needs. Assess student performance using formal and informal measures and utilize data to guide instruction and interventions. Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals related to reading, writing, executive functioning, and academic achievement. Collaborate with general education teachers to support student access to grade-level curriculum and accommodations. Participate in PPT meetings, case management activities, and compliance-related documentation. Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and staff. Preferred Qualifications Connecticut certification in Special Education (165 Comprehensive Special Education, Grades K-12).
QUALIFICATIONS
CT Certification in Special Education (165, 265, or 065) Excellent teaming, collaboration and communication skills.

Per NFEA Contract
