Were seeking an enthusiastic Special Education Teacher with expertise in PreK and Kindergarten. This full-time role is perfect for someone dedicated to fostering growth and learning in young minds, working onsite in a small PreK-K class of approximately 7 children, all receiving valuable 1:1 support. This contracted position runs through late February, with the possibility to extend further. Collaborate closely within a well-resourced building featuring an on-site BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) for guidance and multidisciplinary teamwork. You'll be instrumental in shaping the educational experience for young children, helping them reach their milestones and succeed in a nurturing, structured setting. In this role, you will: Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for children in PreK and Kindergarten. Adapt curriculum to meet diverse learning needs and abilities. Collaborate with classroom aides, related service providers, and the on-site BCBA to ensure comprehensive student support. Monitor student progress and maintain detailed documentation. Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment. Communicate regularly with families regarding student development and achievements.
Ideal qualifications and experience:
Valid Special Education Teacher certification. Previous experience teaching in early childhood special education (PreK or Kindergarten). Strong collaboration and communication skills. Knowledge of implementing individualized supports and behavior strategies. Ability to work onsite full-time as part of a dedicated educational team.
