This full-time, in-person position involves teaching all core subjects to elementary grade students in a highly supportive, structured environment focused on relationship-based and trauma-informed practices. The ideal candidate is patient, flexible, and committed to meeting students where they are—academically, socially, and emotionally—while helping them grow toward success. Responsibilities Provide instruction in all elementary subject areas, differentiated to meet individual student needs Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with related service providers and families Create a safe, structured, and predictable classroom environment Support students with a wide range of special needs, including emotional and behavioral challenges Use proactive, collaborative strategies to address challenging behaviors Maintain accurate documentation, progress monitoring, and communication Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team Participate in professional development and school-wide initiatives Educational Approach Our program emphasizes: Dr. Ross Greene's Collaborative and Proactive Solutions (CPS) model Scarlet Lewis's Choose Love social-emotional learning curriculum Relationship-based, trauma-informed, and strengths-focused teaching practices Some students have significant mental health needs and may experience difficulty with emotional regulation at times.
