Both positions require a strong background in special education and a passion for helping students succeed.

Qualifications:

CT certification in special education, or eligibility for CT certification (required) Experience in reading intervention programs (SPIRE, WILSON, Orton-Gillingham, etc.) preferred for one position Commitment to fostering academic and social growth in middle school students

Responsibilities:

First Position:

Teach 6th grade ELA, Specialized Reading/Math; deliver focused interventions for students with diverse learning needs

Second Position:

Support grades 6-8 with academic assistance, emphasizing executive functioning and helping students succeed in core subjects within a resource setting Develop and implement IEPs; collaborate with colleagues, families, and support staff Maintain accurate records and ongoing progress monitoring
