Desired Qualifications:
Previous experience as a paraprofessional or working with children in schools Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to follow educational plans and support teachers effectively Patient, empathetic, and adaptable to students' diverse needs High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework in education or a related field is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
Offer direct support to students individually or in small groups, fostering engagement in classroom activities Assist lead teachers with instructional tasks, classroom management, and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) when necessary Help maintain a positive and organized classroom environment Support students with special needs, ensuring inclusion and accessibility Supervise students during transitions, lunchtime, and other activities throughout the day Collaborate with teachers and staff to create an enriching environment for all learners This contract role provides a fantastic chance to gain hands-on experience in the field of education while making a visible difference in the lives of students.
