Assesses students and helps to develop individualized education plans that specify the services and accommodations needed for each student. Works in a classroom that includes only students with IEPs, or works with students and teachers in regular classes. For students with severe disabilities, may focus on developing skills for independent living. Works as part of a team that includes therapists, school counselors or social workers.

Until Filled The Westport Public Schools is seeking special education paraeducators to join a talented team of educators at our schools. The qualified candidates will work alongside dedicated staff and will be assigned responsibilities based on the district's needs.
Qualifications:
Two years of college credit; or An Associate's (or higher) degree; or A passing score on the ParaPro test; and Ability to work with all students.
Salary Range:
According to the Paraeducator contract (Please refer to website www.westportps.org /employment)
