Job Description

Make a real difference in students lives by bringing your expertise in Special Education to a welcoming educational environment. Several contract opportunities are now available for certified Special Education Teachers for the upcoming 26/27 school year. This onsite position offers full-time hours and the chance to leave a lasting impact across a variety of grade levels elementary, middle, and high school. Ideal candidates will demonstrate a genuine commitment to individualized learning and be enthusiastic about collaborating with colleagues to help every student thrive both academically and socially.
Qualifications & Experience:
Current Connecticut Special Education Certification (CT SPED Cert) required Previous experience teaching special education students at the elementary, middle, or high school level preferred Strong communication skills with students, families, and staff Ability to adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet diverse learner needs Passion for fostering a supportive, inclusive, and positive classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students needs Provide direct instruction and classroom support in alignment with IEP goals Track, assess, and document student progress and adjust strategies accordingly Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and parents Participate in IEP meetings and provide valuable insight for student success across multiple grade levels Establish and maintain positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues Enjoy a supportive workplace culture and a comprehensive benefits package that includes competitive weekly pay, health, dental, and vision insurance, and a 401(k) retirement plan to support your long-term financial wellness.
