Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a Special Education Teacher supporting elementary students near the vibrant Wethersfield, CT area and its neighboring communities. This role is designed to provide essential maternity leave coverage for the start of the 2026-2027 school year, running from September through October, ensuring a seamless learning experience for students during a key academic transition.
Desired Qualifications:
Valid certification as a Special Education Teacher (Connecticut credentials preferred) Previous experience providing instruction or services to elementary-aged children with special needs Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring Excellent communication, collaboration, and adaptability in dynamic school settings Familiarity with inclusive education practices and differentiated instructional strategies
Responsibilities Include:
