9641245-06226 Job Description Embark on a rewarding contract role supporting students as a Special Education Teacher in a Resource Room environment, located near Willimantic, CT. This full-time opportunity begins as soon as possible, with a schedule of Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 2:30 PM, and runs through October 1, 2026with a promising outlook for extension through the entire school year. This position serves a caseload of approximately 10 students in grades 712, providing individualized support and instruction in a nurturing, collaborative school atmosphere. Qualifications and Required Experience:

Current Connecticut Special Education certification for Grades 712 Previous experience in a school-based setting is highly valued Strong communication, organization, and advocacy skills Ability to engage and connect with students at the secondary level

Deliver specialized instruction and individualized support within a Resource Room setting Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals to meet student needs Collaborate closely with general education teachers, related service providers, and families Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment where every student has the opportunity to thrive Maintain accurate and timely documentation and progress reports Youll work with a supportive student population in a school environment that values inclusion and professional growth.
