Job Description

Embrace an exciting contract opportunity for the 2026-2027 academic year as a Special Education Resource Teacher serving K-7 students. This full-time position runs from August 2026 through June 2027 and features openings for three dedicated professionals to support resource classrooms in kindergarten, grades 1-2, and grade 7. Collaborate closely with students, families, and school teams to create a supportive learning environment that empowers every child to succeed.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Special Education Teacher credentials required Previous experience working with K-7 students in a resource or similar setting is highly preferred Deep knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and compliance Strong ability to deliver differentiated instruction and facilitate small group or individualized learning Skilled communicator who thrives as a compassionate advocate for students with diverse needs Commitment to in-person work throughout the school year; remote options are not available
Position Responsibilities:
Provide resource support to assigned grade-level caseload, focusing on individual learning plans Collaborate with general educators, administrators, and support staff to implement appropriate accommodations and modifications Serve as a case manager for identified students, maintaining all necessary records and ensuring adherence to special education laws Engage in purposeful family outreach and communication regarding student progress and strategies for continued growth Participate actively in team meetings, professional development, and school initiatives promoting inclusion Step into an environment where your expertise as a Special Education Teacher will have a meaningful impact throughout the school year.
