Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract This opportunity is for an Elementary Special Education Teacher to support an autism caseload in a well-established public school setting. The position runs from early February to mid-June and offers a structured Monday through Friday schedule with consistent hours.

Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:25 AM - 3:55 PM (37.5 hours/week with a 30-minute paid lunch)
Caseload Focus:
Autism support
Key Qualifications:
Valid Delaware Special Education Teaching License (required) Experience working with elementary-aged students with special needs, particularly autism Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Strong communication skills to collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff Dedication to fostering inclusive and supportive learning environments
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students with autism within the elementary setting Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly Maintain accurate documentation and comply with state educational standards Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance student learning and well-being Participate in meetings and professional development as required
Additional Information:
