Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic Aftercare Teacher to join our dedicated team, providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children after school hours. In this role, you will oversee the well-being and development of children, facilitate fun and educational activities, and ensure smooth classroom management. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help foster a positive atmosphere where children feel valued, supported, and inspired to learn and grow. Responsibilities Supervise children during afterschool hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Plan and implement engaging activities that promote childhood development, including arts, crafts, sports, and educational games Manage classroom behavior using positive behavior management techniques to create a respectful environment Maintain accurate attendance records and communicate with parents or guardians regarding children's progress or concerns Ensure adherence to first aid protocols and respond promptly to any minor injuries or emergencies using CPR or AED as needed Support children with special education needs by adapting activities and providing individualized assistance Foster a supportive community atmosphere through team collaboration and youth group activity facilitation Experience Prior experience working with children in educational, childcare, camp, or youth program settings is highly preferred Demonstrated classroom management skills with the ability to maintain order while encouraging creativity and independence Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development best practices Certification in first aid, CPR, and AED operation is required; ongoing training in first aid protocols is essential Experience in outdoor work environments or sports coaching enhances your ability to lead active outdoor activities Previous involvement in theater or arts programs can be beneficial for facilitating creative expression among children Proven ability to work effectively with diverse groups of children, including those with special needs or behavioral challenges Join us as an Aftercare Teacher and be part of a vibrant team dedicated to nurturing the next generation! Pay:
$15.00 - $16.00 per hour Expected hours: No more than 10.0 per week
