9687176-19720 Job Description Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students across a school district as a Special Education Teacher. This onsite position begins as soon as possible and will continue through early June 2027, providing you with long-term stability and the chance to build meaningful relationships with students and staff alike. With a full-time schedule of 35 hours per week (including a 30-minute unpaid lunch break), youll be fully engaged in making a difference every day. Youll have the opportunity to serve a diverse caseload, working throughout the district to support students varied educational needs. Your expertise and dedication will shape individualized learning experiences and create a positive, inclusive classroom environment for all.
Preferred Qualifications:
Active Delaware Special Education Teacher certification required (please attach valid certification with your submission) Prior experience working as a Special Education Teacher in a school setting Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and compliance Ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs Excellent communication skills for collaboration with staff, students, and families Proactive, compassionate approach to working with students with disabilities
