Desired Qualifications & Experience:
Valid Special Education certification Experience teaching elementary-aged students (grades K-5) preferred Comfort working with students exhibiting mild to moderate and moderate to severe behavioral challenges Strong classroom management and compassionate communication skills Collaborative approach with paraprofessionals and other support staff
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver effective, differentiated instruction aligned with individual education plans (IEPs) for students in self-contained settings Foster a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom atmosphere that encourages student engagement and growth Implement and track behavior intervention plans, utilizing evidence-based strategies Collaborate closely with paraprofessionals within the classroom to provide consistent support Establish and maintain professional communication with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams Adapt teaching techniques and materials to accommodate diverse learning needs and behavioral profiles
