Works in a classroom that includes only students with IEPs, or works with students and teachers in regular classes. For students with severe disabilities, may focus on developing skills for independent living. Works as part of a team that includes therapists, school counselors or social workers.

Starts September Schedule:

In-person position during the school day

Hours:

Flexible, part time

Pay:

$30 per hour In this role, you will: Provide students in grades 2nd, 3rd & 5th with reading support. Work 1:1 or with small groups of students. Support students in Special Education with IEP's. Provide small group tutoring sessions to students using the provided curriculum and learning technology. Manage classroom dynamics to ensure a conducive learning environment. Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.

A teaching credential issued by the state of Florida A bachelor's degree accompanied by a Statement of Eligibility issued by the Florida Department of Education (ESE Certificate) Have classroom experience teaching or supporting reading instruction Have experience with Special Education students Have experience using the Science of Reading or willingness to be trained in this Can complete the fingerprinting process within 48 hours of an offer In this role you will need to be able to meet DOJ/FBI fingerprint clearance requirements for this position You can provide 3 professional references You are detail-oriented and highly dependable You are an effective communicator You have reliable transportation You can provide a negative tuberculosis test within 2 weeks of being hired You love learning, teaching, and empowering others to soar If you apply and you are qualified, you will be contacted for an interview within 2 days .
