Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate VPK Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to child welfare and the ability to create a nurturing and stimulating environment for students. This role involves working with children in various settings, including private schools and daycare facilities, focusing on their overall development and literacy education. The VPK Teacher will be responsible for developing and implementing engaging curriculum tailored to meet the diverse needs of students, including those requiring special education support. Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote literacy education and foster a love for learning. Create a safe and supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement. Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians regarding their child's development. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative approach to education. Provide care for toddlers, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met throughout the day. Collaborate with other educators to develop curriculum that is inclusive of all learning styles and abilities. Maintain classroom organization and cleanliness while adhering to safety regulations. Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge. Experience Previous experience as a VPK Teacher working with children in educational settings such as private schools or daycare is preferred. Knowledge of child welfare practices and special education methodologies is highly desirable. Strong communication skills are essential for effective interaction with students, parents, and staff. Experience in curriculum development is an asset, enabling the creation of tailored educational experiences for diverse learners. A background in early childhood education will be beneficial in supporting young children's developmental needs. Pay:
$19.00 - $21.00 per hour
